Privacy policy

Your files stay yours.

timLinq has no user accounts, advertising, in-app analytics, or server for transferring files. This policy explains what data the app and this website use.

01

Stored on your device

Your device’s cryptographic identity, settings, records of trusted devices, rules, transfer history, and data needed to resume interrupted transfers are stored locally on your device. You can clear the history, remove trusted devices, and change rules in the app.

02

Direct, encrypted transfers

When receiving is enabled, nearby devices can see the device name you chose and a temporary identifier. Files and transfer metadata are sent only to the device you select, over an end-to-end encrypted connection — never through NeuraTiM servers or cloud storage.

03

Permissions for specific features

The app requests system permissions only to find and connect to nearby devices, access files or photos you select, and send transfer notifications. If you deny a permission, the feature that needs it will not work.

04

Feedback is optional

When you send feedback from the app, timLinq sends NeuraTiM your message, your email address if you provide one, the app version, your platform, and the app language. This helps the developer respond and improve the app. Device names, paired-device details, filenames, file contents, and diagnostic data are not included.

05

Website and contributions

This website saves your language choice in your browser’s storage. To serve the page and its fonts, the hosting provider and Google Fonts receive standard request data, such as your IP address. If you contribute, Stripe or your chosen payment provider processes your payment and receipt details under its own privacy policy. NeuraTiM never receives your full card number.
